Designed with stabilizing chines running the length of the canoe, the Discovery 160K can be used with confidence in a variety of conditions. With a typical two-person load, the chines remain out of water to provide very efficient paddling. At the same time, its double-end configuration translates to rowing ease and maneuverability. The canoe's beamy stability and quick-turning capability are reminiscent of the popular river driftboat, making the Discovery 160K an excellent choice for sportsmen. The Discovery 160K includes a keel, can easily accommodate a small side-mounted outboard, and is rigged with oar sockets fore and aft of a center nylon web seat. Like the Discovery 133K, the Discovery 160K is also available fitted with an ash center carrying yoke, and nylon web seats. Other standard features include black vinyl gunwales, and polyethylene decks with integral grab handles.
