Kayak and canoe straps are not very glamorous, high tech or sexy but they are what stop your boat from becoming a U F O or a motorway statistic. (Kayak aviation is NOT a good thing.). Kayak Carrier Systems straps are made from woven polypropylene. They are totally non absorbent. You could leave them for years in salt water without any deterioration.
